Caplin and TIBCO consider the possibility of integrating Complex Event Processing (CEP) into a Single-Dealer Portal (SDP)
Caplin's single-dealer platform, Caplin Xaqua, includes the facility to record customer data. Not Caplin's customers, but the bank's customers. Caplin Xaqua can record what each end-user actually does including what they trade, when they trade and how often.
We have discussed what you might do with these data with TIBCO, whose CEP product TIBCO BusinessEvents is capable of analysing exactly this kind of complex event.
Our conclusion is that you could integrate the two products, using TIBCO Enterprise Messaging Service, to provide the customer data to the CEP engine which could then suggest new trade options to the customer based on what they've done in the past.
