Caplin hosts first e-commerce business breakfast at renowned "Canoe" restaurant in Toronto
Caplin's first e-commerce business breakfast featured a presentation by IDC Financial Insights' locally-based senior analyst, Robert Burbach (right) on the state of e-commerce and the adoption of single-dealer platforms in the Canadian market.

HTML5: the future standard for Web apps?
There has been a long debate, including on the pages of the Caplin website and two of Paul Caplin's white papers, about which technology is best for building Web apps, and in particular financial trading apps. Pros and cons have been discussed, and there have been several contending technologies, including Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flex and Ajax.
However it seems that a consensus is slowly forming, and it's forming around native Web technology in the form of HTML5 and CSS3.
