Sales tickets: opening a new sales ticket

You can open a new sales ticket using one of three methods.

Contents:

Opening a ticket using the New trade button

To open a new sales ticket using the New trade button, follow the steps below:

  1. [optional] Click the search icon (  ) and select your client as the active FX Sales client.
  2. Click New trade to open a new sales ticket.

The Client field on the new ticket is pre-filled with the active FX Sales client (if there is one).

Note: By default, a sales user can have multiple tickets open for different clients. If the configuration option CAPLIN.MULTIPLECLIENTMANAGEMENT.ENABLED is set to false, selecting a client using the search icon (  ) closes all previously opened tickets.

Opening a ticket from a client FX tile

Note: this method is only available if one-click trading is disabled (the default). See the configuration item CAPLIN.FX.TILE.ONE_CLICK_TRADE.

To open a new sales ticket from a client FX tile, follow the steps below:

  1. If your client is not the active FX Sales client, click the search icon (  ) and select your client.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Client > Trade.

Note: if you selected a client in step one, then Client > Trade is automatically selected.

  3. Complete the fields in an FX tile for the currency pair you wish to trade.

If a tile for your currency pair does not exist, then click Add Currency Pair to add a tile for your currency pair.

  4. Click the streaming price in the FX tile for the trade you want to execute. A new sales ticket will open, with fields pre-filled from the FX tile.

Note: if ticket auto-quoting is enabled, the ticket will immediately request a quote. See the configuration option CAPLIN.MOTF.TICKET.AUTO_QUOTE.

Note: By default, a sales user can have multiple tickets open for different clients. If the configuration option CAPLIN.MULTIPLECLIENTMANAGEMENT.ENABLED is set to false, selecting a client using the search icon (  ) closes all previously opened tickets.

Opening a ticket from a sales-ticket container

To open a new ticket as an additional tab in an existing sales-ticket container, click the new tab icon ( ) in the container.

Tabs in containers are restriced to the same client. When a container hosts more than one ticket, the client field of the container is no longer editable.
