We have an immediate vacancy for a Business Development Representative. This is an outstanding opportunity for a person wanting to bring their skills to an organisation at the leading edge of web-based trading technology and with blue-chip global financial clients. The role is based in our London office in the City and operates on a hybrid working model, with global travel required. The role reports to the Business Development Manager.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

● Outbound Generation & Pipeline Building: Proactively build pipeline through a multi-channel approach, including in-person networking, LinkedIn outreach, targeted email campaigns, and cold calling.

● Consultative Prospecting: Take a consultative approach to identify business challenges, qualify prospective customers, and create meaningful conversations for the sales team.

● Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough research to identify prospective clients, target accounts, and new business opportunities aligned with our commercial strategy.

General Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Ecosystem Networking: Develop and nurture relationships with prospects, partners, and industry stakeholders by representing the company at events, conferences, and industry gatherings to foster trust and build brand awareness.

● Sales Campaigns: Support targeted outbound sales campaigns to generate qualified leads.

● Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure all business development efforts are tightly aligned with broader company objectives.

● Secure CRM & Prospect Management: Utilise the CRM as the authoritative repository for all interaction records, ensuring that lead handling protocols strictly adhere to GDPR regulations and organisational data governance policies.

● Continuous Improvement: Stay highly adaptable to market changes, shifting customer preferences, and internal dynamics. Continuously seek personal and

professional development to stay ahead of modern business development and enterprise prospecting best practices.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative to drive our new business and growth strategies. Operating within the Sales function, you will be on the front lines of our expansion efforts, responsible for identifying net-new opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking, consultative sales professional to generate pipeline, develop enterprise sales expertise, and play a key role in our commercial growth.

The Commercial Environment

To be successful in this role, it is important to understand the landscape you will be operating in. You will be:

● Targeting Tier 2 & Tier 3 Banks: Engaging with financial institutions that require high-trust, expert-level partnerships.

● Driving Outbound Pipeline: Building and generating new business opportunities through various outbound sales channels (e.g. cold calling, LinkedIn, etc.).

● Navigating Complex Organisations: Identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders across IT, Front Office, Back Office, and executive teams within enterprise financial institutions.

● Operating in a Multi-Product Environment: Prospecting across a portfolio of products, each solving different business challenges for stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and Technology Qualifications & Traits

Must-Have Traits (The Non-Negotiables)

● Expected Experience: 1+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience.

● Consultative "Hunter" Mentality: You balance a proactive, outbound-led work ethic with a strategic, solution-oriented approach. You are energized by generating pipeline and navigating complex organizational structures.

Sales Methodology Focus: An interest and knowledge of consultative sales methodologies such as MEDDIC and SPIN Selling.

CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience rigorously utilising CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track activity and manage leads.

Exceptional Communicator: Superb verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers.

Desirable Traits (What Will Make You Stand Out)

● Fintech / Financial Services Experience: Previous experience working in fintech, FX, payments, banking technology, or a related B2B technology environment.

● Multi-Product Prospecting Experience: Experience prospecting for a business with multiple products or solutions, tailoring outreach to different departments and buyer personas.
