Configuration and blades

Because Liberator’s a DataSource application, you configure it just like any other DataSource. Liberator also has its own set of configuration items for setting up things like the type of client connection (HTTP, HTTPS), user limits, session parameters, and tuning parameters.

You specify the Liberator-specific configuration items using the same syntax as the common DataSource configuration.

When you use the Caplin Platform Deployment Framework, the availability of Caplin Platform blades makes it much easier to configure Liberator. Many of the configuration settings that are needed to enable Liberator features are already set up as built-in Config bladessupplied with the Deployment Framework.

For a list of the Liberator Config blades, see the Deployment Framework page Built-in blades.

The Deployment Framework includes a command to activate a normally inactive blade.
