DataSource applications, such as Liberator, Transformer and Integration Adapters, can exchange data and messages in a variety of standard formats, known as "types" (previously known as 'object types').
These types are also used for the data and message exchanges between StreamLink clients and Liberator. They’re specially designed to handle financial market data and financial trading messages, but you can also use the record, container, chat, and permissions types for other sorts of data.
